Error is a body of work exploring the relationship between humans and
technology, how they interact and what the outcome of this interaction may be.
There is an emphasis on the unpredictability of the communication through the use
of analogue photographic methods in combination with the glitch aesthetic.
The
process of creating the work itself represents the idea, of having complete
control of the machine that allows the image to become a tangible thing, yet there
being an uncertainty of what will come out of the darkroom at the end of it. The
manipulation of the exposure of the image and placement of the paper was all
intentional, yet the chemical processes and machine intervention allow for these
analogue ‘glitches’ to occur.
